South Carolina Knife Collectors Club

South Carolina's Premier Pocket Knife Collectors Club

Trading, collecting, and preserving the heritage of fine American cutlery since 1974. Monthly meetings in Greer, an annual knife show, and a members-only club knife every year.

WHO WE ARE

A 50-Year Legacy of Pocket Knife Collecting in the Palmetto State

The Palmetto Cutlery Club was founded in July 1974 by twelve upstate South Carolina collectors who shared a passion for fine pocket knives, ethical trading, and the craftsmanship behind every blade. Half a century later, the club is still going strong — and still meeting on the first Tuesday of every month in Greer, SC.

We exist to promote ethical knife collecting, combat fraud and counterfeiting in the hobby, and pass the craft on to the next generation of collectors. Whether you collect Case XX, Queen, Buck, Boker, Bulldog, or custom hand-made folders, you have a seat at our table.

WHAT WE DO

Four Reasons Collectors Join the Palmetto Cutlery Club

From monthly meetings and a yearly club knife to a full knife show and ongoing education, membership in the Palmetto Cutlery Club gives you more than a hobby — it gives you a community.

Trade, buy, sell, and learn at the Greer Tennis Club on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM. Members and guests welcome.

Our flagship event brings collectors, dealers, and makers from across the southeast to upstate South Carolina for a weekend of pocket knife heaven.

Since 1976, every member can purchase one limited-issue Palmetto Cutlery Club knife each year — many produced by Case, Queen, Bulldog, and other top makers.

From tang stamp dating to brand identification and appraisal, our guides help collectors at every level make smarter, more informed decisions.

ETHICS FIRST

What "Palmetto Cutlery Club" Means

The Palmetto Cutlery Club is named for South Carolina — the Palmetto State — and our original 1976 club logo featured the palmetto tree flanked by two pocket knives. That mark still represents us today.

But the name carries a deeper commitment. From day one our members have pledged to uphold the highest ethical standards in trading, to combat fraud and counterfeiting, and to share accurate knowledge with new collectors. In a hobby where reproductions and misrepresented knives are common, that promise matters.
